Prof. Asad M. Madni is a world-renowned authority in intelligent sensors, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), and control systems. He is a Member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), and an IEEE Life Fellow. As former President, CEO and Chairman of BEI Technologies, he led the development of the GyroChip, the pioneering micromachined inertial sensor that enabled vehicle electronic stability control and is credited with saving countless lives worldwide. Over his distinguished career, he has held senior technical and executive positions at Systron Donner and BEI Technologies, and has served on the faculty of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has received numerous prestigious honors and awards for his contributions to engineering and technology.
